Josh is originally from Colorado. He attended Pensacola Christian College (PCC) and graduated in 2004 with his bachelor’s degree in business, minoring in Bible. While attending PCC, he met his wife Rachel, and moved to Iowa in 2005. For the last 16 years, Josh has been a licensed insurance agent and has owned his own insurance agency here in Indianola since 2017. When not working, Josh enjoys spending time with Rachel and supporting their five children in their various sports and activities.  Josh wants to serve on the school board of Strong Roots Christian School because he has a passion for Christian Education and wants families to have the opportunity for their children to be rooted in wisdom and biblical knowledge for many generations to come across Central Iowa communities.

Abbie Loyd was born and raised in Iowa, moving from Northeast Iowa to Central Iowa after college. She and her husband Tanner have three children: Makenna (14), Hadley (4) and Hayden (2). For several years, she has been an active parent in schools serving as PTA Vice President while Makenna was in Elementary School and then again when Hadley started PreK. Abbie holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Northern Iowa and a minor in Psychology. She has over 17 years' experience in Project Management and Business Execution Consultation. That experience extends across a variety of business strategies to support organizational development, successful operations, corporate sustainability, strong financials, and competitive technology. She has also served several years as a Fundraising Committee Chair for Youth Emergency Shelter and Services (YESS) in Des Moines. Abbie brings experience to collaborate amongst staff, parents and community members to support the overall mission of Strong Roots Christian School. She is excited for what God has done for our school and all that is to come. She truly believes that we need to hear from many voices and gain several perspectives in order to thrive, but to always remain focused to His word.

Zach was raised on a farm outside of Indianola, Iowa. He graduated from Simpson College in 2010 with his bachelor’s degree in business management. He then spent over 10 years as a Grain Merchandiser and Senior Market Manager with the Scoular Company out of Sarasota, Florida. In 2019 he and his wife Nicola relocated back to Indianola to raise their family. He currently holds the position of Farmer Education Program Manager at the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation. In addition to serving on the board of Strong Roots Christian School, Zach volunteers as the leader of the White Oak Climber Clover Kids Club in Indianola. “Ensuring that families in our community have access to quality faith-based education and that the institutions providing it have invested and qualified stakeholders contributing to their success is something I’m very passionate about, and one of the many reasons I am honored to server on the board.

Brooke Moore is an Indianola native. After high school, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and has had over 10 years of experience working at Methodist West Hospital. Brooke is actively involved in her church, through regular attendance and serving weekly in high school ministry as a youth group leader. In the community, she co-leads a small Women's Outreach Ministry as well as hosting Life Groups and Bible studies in her home. Brooke and her husband have two children who attend SRCS, so Christian Education is a personal desire for their family. They strive to keep Christ at the center of their family's daily life, and are confident that SRCS will provide a great foundation of truth, based on who Jesus is and will help develop deep roots in a biblically led life.

Dillon Brummer

Dillon was raised on a farm in Indianola, IA. He attended Simpson College and graduated in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in business management. Dillon currently works as a commodity merchandiser and lives on a farm with his wife Renae and their two children. When he isn’t working, Dillon enjoys spending time with his family, spending time outdoors, and going camping.

“I feel that serving on the SRCS board allows me the opportunity to do my part in ensuring that SRCS is able to provide my children and others with the proper resources and environment to help shape their world views in a manner consistent with Christian values in conjunction with academic excellence. As a parent, I believe that my ultimate goal is to lead my children to Jesus Christ so that they can choose to accept Him as their Lord and Savior. I feel that SRCS mission and values align with this goal and I am proud to serve as a member of the board”

Angela West

Angela grew up in Eastern Iowa where she received her formal training in cosmetology and interior design. Soon after marrying her husband, they started moving around the country to states that bordered the Great Lakes region. They have four children ranging from 27 to 11 years of age. All four of them have been blessed to be enrolled in Christian schools at some point in their educational experience.  While living in Michigan, Angela found her calling of serving and heading the outreach committee at her church. After moving back to Iowa in 2016, she used her passion to brighten the elderly shut-ins by delivering "Meals on Wheels" and other activities. She has always been actively involved in their schools from PTA to "lunch lady". When she isn't volunteering, you will find her creating her many craft ideas and working in the garden. She enjoys seeing God's beauty in nature.  Some of her annual vacations are to return to the Great Lakes to hike and view waterfalls. "In Isaiah 6:8, "The Lord asked, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"  This is one of the verses that the lyrics of my favorite song is based on, "Here I am Lord". This is why I serve. I go where he calls me to go. Sometimes I don't understand why, but I go and trust He has me."-Angela
